An interesting morning service with half the organ (the entire Great division) out of action as part of the cleaning works. Very impressed by how it stood up to a full church though, top marks for effort. Lots of piano too of course, always good fun however am not liking the new camera system showing quite how much hair the back of my head is lacking…
I finally managed to finish wiring to the second speaker in the study, so can give the negative noisy neighbour a racket from another room in the house. Sounds awesome, now to turn it up a bit to drown out his generic crap thundering through the brickwork.
Another achievement, this productivity is quite out of character, is starting one of the reading lists ahead of September. The Gathering by Anne Enright is so far surprisingly brazen in its choice of content and language. Thinking nothing of dropping in anatomical details, flashers or the physical stages of male arousal! Very different to my last piece of fictional distraction. Luckily I also have it on audiobook should the eyes misbehave…
Healthwise I feel like I have been hit from behind by a plane, a train and – well – something else. This weekend has been a tired and washed out one. I have aches on my pains and am obviously going for the world yawning championships. Apologies to anyone I have displayed disinterest to this weekend, it was not me – it was M.E. !
