Well, back in the library with assignments looming and inspiration lacking. In my defense, your honours, I have been in Uni all day and fatigue may be setting in. Stunning lecture this afternoon on writing for the screen, even though there was a somewhat amusing failure of technology, whiteboard and flip pad pens!

Has been quite a week as I strive to return to some normality over the health issues that have flattened me since November. Each day of activity costs me at least one day of complete bed rest. The kittens snuggle in which is adorable. They don’t nag for food until I am ready to move either. Being like this, the fatigue, the constant pain, the ‘other’ myriad of symptoms – there has to be more, there has to be better.

My hand is still bruised from the less than gentle blood letting last week. Sharp scratch? Thought he was aiming for an artery! Initial results are a little worry and point to some changes ahead. Probably more trips to the NHS vampire as well, groan!

I am pleased with my writing output this week, and have submitted the first draft of a piece of memoir – life writing – to our workshop for feedback. It may not be on the nicest of subjects, however I will be very interested to receive whatever comments my friends offer. I hope to submit this for assessment too.

Thursday means a ‘spoons curry, which is calling me right now. Friday is for rest. I promise to be happier next time…
